This is an all-family favourite dish that has parsnips lovers and haters. The twist in the taste of parsnips with the carrots and honey would make them fall in love with the dish instantly. The splendid combination of honey and parsley would offer a delicious platter that it is good along with all kinds of dishes you plan to serve during lunch or dinner.
Butter (melted) – 2 tbsp
Carrots (medium) – 4 (chopped ¼ inch slices)
Parsnips (medium) – 4 (chopped ¼ inch slices
Chicken broth – ¾ cup
Honey – 5 tbsp
Fresh Parsley (finely chopped) – 1 tbsp
Paprika – 1 tsp
Kosher salt – to taste
Ground pepper – to taste
- Add the butter to a pan and when it is foamy then add the carrots and parsnips. Stir well to cook it uniformly for 3 minutes.
- Now add the chicken broth and honey and stir well. Now simmer the heat and close with a lid and allow it to cook for 5 minutes.
- Then add the paprika, pepper, salt and parsley. Turn the heat so that the liquid becomes thick and glazes the vegetable slices for about 5 minutes.
Now add the remaining honey and serve immediately.
